As I like the bright colors of the plants and landscapes they are all very nice, however, I really enjoy the way light and shadow play together in the black and white of #5 and my next 2 choices would have to be #s 2 & 3..The people in these people seem to tell a story…
thank you Martha…and yes, those photos you picked each have their own story!
My favorite is #2! Second choice is #7, but then I’m stuck trying to decide between #1 & #5. I like the black and white, but the feet sticking out in #1 is intriguing. Keep us posted what you decide.
Linda – that’s the only reason I added #1, because of the feet sticking out! My dad loves that banana tree photo also. Thanks for your input! I will keep you posted.
I love #1 and #3, and I really like #9, especially with the caption you have.
yay, first vote for 9! And you picked Mike’s two fave’s as well. Thanks…this really helps (as I know very little of what I’m doing. ha ha! And to think I used a $99 Fujifilm camera).
My favorite is #3, #7 and #9. You did a great job , all pictures are beautiful !
I can always count on you for your encouragement! Thanks for “voting”
Hi Inky! Your photographs are all beautiful. My favorite is number 7 The banana tree. Such beautiful color. my second and third would be 1 Pathway of Peace and 4 Maracas. It was pretty tough only picking three!
Thanks Madeleine! I appreciate you taking the time to pick. And yes, those are amazing colors…so bright and fresh!
Hi Ilona!
Wow, these are all great photos! My favorite three are:
#2 because of the cultural interest, colors & patterns, angle/perspective of the women walking
#3 because of the strong sense of movement, and monochromatic colors
#7 because of the interesting perspective and vibrant colors, as well as the dominant area of the seed thing hanging down.

Your artistic eye is informative. Thanks for the comments.
Great photos and so hard to choose only 3. #1 would be good if the persons leg were photoshopped out.
Other than that, I choose
#3
#7
#10
haha! I loved #1 because of the foot… And you are officially the first one to like the cat. “Missy” would thank you, but she’s no longer with us. Our dogs…
Hi Ilona. Beatiful pics and very hard to choose!
I would say #3 particularly because i love the subject and know her and probably what she was feeling but it is a great pic.
l relaly like 1,2, and 4 as well. (if i had to choose). Love the caption for #9. Let us know how you decide!
Ruth
I think #3 will end up being submitted, it’s getting many votes. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I’ll let you know.
#1 for its ambiance and humor, followed by #10 as a companion piece and #5 because it does tell a story. The play of light on these three is wonderful.
I loved your take on these! Thanks Linda!
Hey Ilona…..
So I think that all of these photos are great but my all time favorite is #1……. it is just so beautiful……I think that this pic should put in a frame……then I would say #7 and next would be #9….. I would love to know which pictures you end up picking …. keep us posted!!!
HI! Sorry my reply is late… okay, I love your photos but I would have to say my favorites are 1, 2, 3 and 10. And I will give you feedback because I always like feedback, too. For me, the feet are a distraction in #1. Hidden in the bushes makes me think the person is sneaking away to play angry birds. haha! Maybe that can be your title! Nice shot, though. #2 is nice because it tells a story, but it would be nicer to see more of the road ahead or behind rather than have them centered. But I still really like it… love the colors in their clothes. #3 I love now just as much as when I first saw it on your blog, or maybe newsletter? #10 is nice, too, and so are the bright colors in the some of the others, but #3 is my favorite. Good luck!!
Alice – no worries. I asked early enough…
You are hilarious with the angry birds comment. You think I should cut the photo short to remove the leg? BTW, that’s Katie again and I thought the leg made the photo somewhat whimsical and intriguing. I’ve so much to learn when it comes to photography. I appreciate your feedback greatly!
I just spent the weekend at the beach with Tim and his iphone, so I guess angry birds was on my mind! You are right. The photo is definitely more interesting with the feet. It’s a beautiful picture and I think if you crop it you would lose out on that darkness in the foreground, and I like the way the path leads the eye forward. I don’t know… the fact that we are discussing it is a good sign, right? It interesting and unexpected. I always love looking at your photos. I remember the b&w one “chores” when you posted it originally, or maybe it was a similar one, but they are all interesting to me. At any rate, I would not crop #1. The more I look at it the more I like it.
3,4,10
Thanks Gail!
I like 1, 2, 5,7, but they are all beautiful. Hope it goes well for you!
Thanks Janene!
It´s so hard to pick! I think the Huave women should be in a missions magazine, the kitty picture looks very artistic with the colors, placement and textures and the banana tree´s colors are amazing.
Thanks Chariti for your input. The time has come…to decide!
Son muy bonitas fotos de esta bella ciudad de Oaxaca , Me gusta la fota 2, 3 y la 5.
Dios te bendiga !!!
Bania,
Gracias por echar la mano. Lo agradezco. ¡Dios te bendiga!

Your photo of the boats strung across the water just reminded me of a dream I had several months ago. Thanks for that reminder, I have been wanting to write it down and pray over it.
